Susan De Kam completed her undergraduate studies with a major in Piano Performance at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. She went on to earn her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Organ Performance at The University of Michigan, while also studying harpsichord and chamber music. She also has a Masters in Film Scoring from The University of Southern California.

As a pianist and organist, Susan has become a well-rounded musician not only through her solo concertizing, but also as an accompanist, chamber music, and teacher. She has been the recipient of numerous prizes and awards, including the National Young Artists’ Competition in Organ Performance, the Bank District International Organ Competition (London, England), Miami International Organ Competition, and the Bach/ Liszt International Organ Competition (Weimar, Germany). She has also been featured several times on the weekly national radio show, “Pipedreams”, as well as on Radio Cluj, a Romanian Public Radio Broadcast. Other notable performance venues include the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas, Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, several universities around the world, and the Melbourne Recital Centre in Australia.

Susan has worked with children and adults of all ages through her piano teaching and coaching, work as Music Director of several churches, and Adjunct Faculty at Mountain View College in Dallas. She brings 25+ years of teaching experience and loves bringing out the musician in everyone.
